Hello list,

Using the plainnat style in bibtex, I can get references in the following form:

Some work suggets that X is true [Smith et al.(2000)Smith, Duchamp and Schmidt, Jones(1990)].

Ideally, though, I'd really like to have somthing like this:

Some work suggets that X is true (Smith et al., 2000; Jones, 1990).
Smith et al. (2000) and Jones (1990) give evidence in support of X.
There is a growing body of evidence in support of X (e.g. Smith et al., 2000; Jones, 1990).

Does anyone know how I might be able to get the alternative citiation formats? Also, the output with "et al." seems to be a bug. Any suggestions on how to get rid of it? (Is this a problem with bibtex or TeXmacs?)

I am using TeXmacs version 1.0.2, and bibtex version 0.99c.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions,
-Amit Dubey
