When I try to start an octave session (octave 2.1) in a texmacs
(1.0.6.12) window on a ubuntu x86-64, I get the following stream of
warning. Should I just ignore aan move on??

There are currently problems with the current
Octave plugin, due to rapid evolution from
the version 2.1 to 3.0. The problem is that
the recent versions are broken, while older
ones still work:
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=424877
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=383863

Thus if it works for you in spite of the
warning, then it's OK. Otherwise, the currently
only available solution is to use an older
version (i.e. <= 2.1). This being said, the
version 2.1 works very well.
