Hi,

i can't precisely answer for Mac-Os.

But, with linux, you just have to download the packages, install them where you want to ; it works.

So, yes you should install the whole stuff.

maybe i did not see a "only giac" installator ?

or maybe it does not care, wether and install xcas or not ?
