Hello,
I'd strongly vote for disabling the "smart" save that refuses to save the
document if Texmacs thinks nothing has changed. First, it often gets this
wrong, I had numerous occasions where I deleted some text and saved, and
Texmacs thought nothing changed and thus changes got lost, the same goes for
changing page settings, style etc. Second, the user may have his own reasons
for saving the file, e.g. setting a new timestamp. I think this behavior is
a bit too smart, and also nonstandard.
