1. Load testcase.tm
2. Select Part > Show one part (note that still both parts are shown)
3. Try to select "Chapter 1" and "Section 1.1." -> crash.

The result of step 2 is in "testcase-onepart.tm":

I've never observed it, but often if I use cursor key selection of some
custom blocks the caret suddenly jumps to the end of the document.

Do you know any steps you take which cause the show-part tags to be inserted?
