[TeXmacs] multiple sessions ?

hi everyone
i have the impression that mac os X opens several sessions of texmacs (qt)
because when i make "commandW" or "commandQ" i must repeat it several times
until there is no more white window on the screen
does texmacs open several "sesisons" ? maybe the word is wrong
