Dear all,

Some of you may be familiar with ASCIIMathML
(http://www1.chapman.edu/~jipsen/mathml/asciimath.html), a really cool
hassle free way of inputing MathML.

There are two features of his conversion that are especially
interesting and would be useful for us TeXmacs users -- a). the
simplicity with which math expressions can be entered and b). The
possibility of triggering the math-mode "automatically". (This can be
tried out online at
http://www1.chapman.edu/~jipsen/mathml/asciimathdemo.html -- you will
need to use Firefox as the browser).

I have been able to redefine the keys within TeXmacs so that the
feature (a) is achieved.

To get (b) all that is needed is a function that puts TeXmacs in the
math-mode whenever a certain regexp is entered. (See Line 893 of the
ASCIIMathML.js file available at
http://mathcs.chapman.edu/~jipsen/mathml/ASCIIMathML.js).
Wondering if anyone out there would be able to help me with this.

Much thanks and kind regards,

Murali
