The proble is likely that sage is not in your PATH.

What happens when you type
which sage

You may want to have sage, or a copy of it, in ~/bin (and posibly log
in and log out) so that TeXmacs, and other programs, can call sage.
That is, you need to make sure that sage is in your PATH

You may also want to use a modification of the sage plugin that allows
for multiline entries with proper indentation in

you would need to uncompress it and put the directory inside
~/.TeXmacs/plugins
