Hi,
since i opened the post, here is the trick i had to do : in preferences, general, choose gnome !!!!

Karl, i tried to create a deb file but couldn't succeed following your steps and didn't try further. But for my next install, on my laptop, i'll do as you say : build a deb package and install it.

I have some more questions :
  1. could'nt it be possible to add some lines explaining how to build a deb package using sources (via svn or a tar.gz file) ?
  2. for testing different version of texmacs, how could i have a .texmacs for each ? It sometimes create problem and i have to play with backup .texmacs file.

Thx for all your help.

Marc

It's working for me, but Alt is not Meta, the OS logo key is.

I just tried TeXmacs 1.0.7.18 in Ubuntu 14.04 and the

I cannot explain it, but I tried the same version in the same
OS (Ubuntu Live CD) a few weeks ago and the shortcuts did not
work. In Ubuntu Mate 14.04 I did not have any problems and
then I blamed it on Unity.
