It will depend on what "look and feel" you choose in Edit, Preferences...
For the Emacs look and feel, set the mark with C-Space, use arrows to extend the selection, cut with C-w, and paste with C-y.
Ctrl X cut V paste, look at any application in the menu Edit and you have the meaning of Crtl added to the command

Hello, a new user to Texmacs on Ubuntu 17.10. Embassingly enough, I am still trying to figure out how to copy paste without using the icons in the toolbar. So far I've tried Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V, Alt+W, Ctlr+Y in vain. What is std+V supposed to mean?Regards,Nishan
