I am looking at it but I have a problem to install texmacs on 18.10 with the deb on website no guile-1.8 where can I get a deb of it ?

must I compile the sage plugin to use it ?

You may be interested in this repo. Propose PR on this repo, I will review as soon as possible.

You do not need to clone the source code repo of GNU TeXmacs.

And I will write detailed guide for users to contribute to the plugins.
