Wow, huge improvement!! Cursor movement is now very responsive here!

I wonder if there's a way to make normal typing more responsive now :P.
For example, I can type normal text faster on my keyboard than it
appears on screen.

(And also to make loading the program faster ... currently it takes
about 15 seconds before launching the program, and seeing my first
typed characters appear on screen.)
