I suppose that you can have a try to remove (temporarily) the local settings, such as

mv $HOME/.TeXmacs $HOME/.TeXmacs.old

and run TeXmacs again to see what happens. If it still fails, try to run with parameter "-d -S".

I use texmacs with ubuntu

having opened a session of maxima i asked for too much computations and the system crashed

now i cannot get texmacs

here the error message

I tried to copy texmacs in another directory : the same again

i runned again ubuntu : the same again

i would download texmacs again but texmacs.org is not attaignable today (?)

has somebody an idea ?
