I am sorry that this took you so long.

In order to avoid similar misadventures to others,
could you please send me a tarball or zipfile
for your old ~/.TeXmacs directory that causes TeXmacs
to crash on start-up?

I guess that the error you experiences is due to some problem
during the Guile boot process. It is strange that data in
your ~/.TeXmacs directory may cause this kind of problems,
so I would be interested to investigate this issue.
