try something like this macro

<assign|my-macro|<xmacro|args|<extern|display*|Something|<quote-arg|args>|And
end>>>

which called as

<my-macro|first|second and third|and fourth>


produce in the standard output

<tree Something><tree <my-macro|first|second and third|and fourth>><tree And
end>

(I had to disactivate secure scripts to make this test).
