Note that I had to run Document > Update > All… to make it work.
I am not sure how to help TeXmacs resolve conflicting reference numbers,
e.g., if you mean to cite section 1 and not equation 1.

I do not understand what "obtain the label from its numeric value" means. Is
it a means to have handy a list of existing labels when one is up to writing a
reference? Till now, I go to where I remember the label is to recall how I spelled it
(and copy it if it is long ...); if it is not that, and in case you plan to add
features to this: it would be useful to have such a thing.
