TeXmacs 1.0 is a symbolic stage. We would like to use this occasion
to reach a public larger than the English speaking communauty. An
important step is translation of the online Help documentation in
major languages. Spanish and French are on the way. Portuguese and
German should be next. But feel free to translate if you are native of
another language.
Translating is a great way to learn about all the TeXmacs features.
If you are not yet familiar with the user interface, you can translate
directly in you favorite editor because the native TeXmacs format is
ASCII; Also translation is not a structural edition and structural
markup are very unobstrusive. Translating this way is also a way to
get familiar with the TeXmacs native format.
Please go to the wiki if you are interested by such a task or drop me
a note. BTW: the wiki has grown to a interesting resource where you
can find informations that has not yet made his way into the online
documentation:
