I have another qn - how does TeXmacs convert a file to PS? Does it use 
dvips? If not, is there a way a dvi file can be generated? I tried looking 
in the convert files but wasn't able to find any leads..

I'm trying to find a workaround for the bitmap fonts vs Type 1 fonts things 
so that I can generate pdf files that Acrobat can display well. If we can 
generate a dvi file then the -Ppdf option can be used to generate only Type 
1 fonts right... let me know if you have any ideas..
