Hallo, I'll skip the intro and step to the questions/suggestions/problems:

- dealing with sections and so on: when changing a section to a subsection, or performing an equivalent action, any previous section-like data should be removed from the selection.
Moreover, the position of the cursor within the selection shouldn't affect the operation, meaning that if the cursor is in the middle of the selction this shouldn't be split over two lines on such action

- tables: there might be an option to make the borders of tables and cells within tables visible on the screen, at least when the cursor is positioned within the table itself, as I suppose it would make operations such as copy&paste much faster ... in such cases the statusbar is not that "immediate" :-)

- numbered arrays of equations: they would be useful! OK, you can create a numbered equation and add a table within it, but the layout is quite different, and it is not that immediate.
Moreover, there should be (or should be more clearly documented ... I couldn't find them) shortcuts for adding equations, numbered equations etc. without having to navigate through the menus, which is quite time-consuming

- labels and references: visualizing where labels have been attached would be useful, maybe (optionally?) marking their position. And as I read on the site, when adding a references a list of existent labels should be displayed

- graphics: is it possible to import postscript/latex files generated by xfig into texmacs? I tried thousands way, but always failed :(

- graphics2: xfig-format files import is a great feature!! marvellous!! Well, but it doesn't work! :) Such files are correctly imported and displayed by the editor, but (GNU) ghostscript would produce a nice error message and ignore the image. The strange is that if a use (Joris') fig2ps to convert the .fig file into a .ps and import the latter into the document GS can manage it without problems; so it seems as if the file doesn't actually get converted.

- building: TeXmacs 1.0.0.1 wouldn't build on Mandrake 8.2; if the problem hadn't been addressed yet tell me and I'll put more details.

Thanks :)

Daniele
