Recent experimental versions (currently 1.0.0.17) do provide a new

We should be more careful with default bindings, so as not to choose
bindings preempted by common window managers and invisible as a result
to applications.
KDE precisely use C-tab and C-S-tab to cycle between virtual desktops.
Hopefully, this is easily disabled by lauching the KDE Control Center,
selecting LookNFeel/Shortcuts in the hierarchical list, selecting
"Navigation/Walk through the desktop list" in the default tabbed panel
called and cliking on None in the bottom subpanel titled "Shortcut for
Selected action". Same thing for the reverse walk.
