Hi,

Compilation  of version  1.0.0.18  (together  with Guile  1.4.1)  in a  quite
specific  local environment  succeeded  with no  problem  except Guile  1.6.0
failed to cooperate a runtime.

However,  a specific  problem remains  for me  : how  to control  where newly
created fonts are written? Here is the first run for texmacs


By default, $TEXMACS_HOME_PATH contains ~/.TeXmacs
------------------------------------------------------------
TeXmacs] kpsepath does not work with your TeX distribution
TeXmacs] kpsewhich does not work with your TeX distribution
TeXmacs] mktextfm works with your TeX distribution
TeXmacs] mktexpk works with your TeX distribution
TeXmacs] texhash does not work with your TeX distribution
TeXmacs] locate does not work; I will try something else
TeXmacs] found TeX directory /var/tmp/texfonts
TeXmacs] found TeX directory /usr/local/lib/texmf/fonts
TeXmacs] Trying to create ecrm10.123pk from 300 dpi
TeXmacs] Executing mktexpk --dpi 123 --bdpi 300 --mag 123/300 --destdir 
localfont ecrm10
[....]

and the result is put in  the directory from which texmacs has been launched,
meanwhile I expected everything to go intro $TEXMACS_HOME_PATH/fonts/{pk,...}

I did  not find  the answer by  reading 'src/Basic/System/dir.cc'.  Any hint?
