Hi,

I wanted to upgrade from TeXmacs1.0 to 1.01 and installed libguile
1.6.3. Compiling was no Problem and installing did work too, but if I
want to start texmacs I get an error message:

Fatal error: guile seems not to be installed on your system in
'install_texmacs'

guile-config info says:

buildstamp = Mon Feb 17 11:32:11 CET 2003
LIBS = -lcrypt -lm
libguileinterface = 15:0:3
guileversion = 1.6.3
pkgincludedir = /usr/local/include/guile
pkglibdir = /usr/local/lib/guile
pkgdatadir = /usr/local/share/guile
includedir = /usr/local/include
mandir = /usr/local/man
infodir = /usr/local/info
libdir = /usr/local/lib
localstatedir = /usr/local/var
sharedstatedir = /usr/local/com
sysconfdir = /usr/local/etc
datadir = /usr/local/share
libexecdir = /usr/local/libexec
sbindir = /usr/local/sbin
bindir = /usr/local/bin
exec_prefix = /usr/local
prefix = /usr/local
top_srcdir = /usr/src/t/guile-1.6.3
srcdir = /usr/src/t/guile-1.6.3/libguile

And /usr/local/lib is in $LD_LIBRARY_PATH. I've tried to compile TeXmacs
with the static flag (make TEXMACS_STATIC) but it still doesnt work.

If anyone has an idea...

Greetings

Benedikt Birkenbach
