Hi, 

I have been trying the following so that when I type "(" in the math-mode, a 
pair of parentheses, namely "()"  is inserted and the cursor is left between 
them:

("(" ( (insert-string "()") (cursor-left) ) ) 


The result is not what I expected it to be. The pair of parens are inserted 
but  the cursor is NOT left between them.
