You mean the problem with ghostscript-8 has disappeared for you? This is interesting, because it hasn't for me.
The stacksize limit is now set to 8MB for the fink package.
Still remains the same problem while trying to actualize the doc:
I have never seen this problem myself, so I can only guess: Are you behind a firewall that needs passive ftp?

Then I've killed the wget process and here's the last ouptut:
If you stop the download, it is clear that the file will be corrupted. It is rather surprising that gunzip doesn't use stronger words for complaining about this file.
gunzip: TeXmacs-doc.tar.gz: unexpected end of file
Does a manual "wget ftp://ftp.texmacs.org/pub/TeXmacs/doc/TeXmacs-doc.tar.gz" work?
