Sorry for the really simple question. In fact, I just had forgotten to
install Tcl/Tk. I did, and Maxima in Texmacs on my MacOSX 10.2.6 now works
just fine. I absolutely do not see why Mac would be a bad choice. Anyhow,
it's all I have :-)
