Speed Problems with Xfree

Hello to you all,

when I use texmacs I always have got the same problem that for example the
Desktop Switching from KDE ist very slow. Is there are problem with texmacs
and xfree? The CPU usage is low but the switching from one to the other
desktop ist very very slow.

Any idea?
