Hi,
I have an document type article, at two columns. Some observations/doubts:
I want to insert an equation between paragraphs of the text but preserving the two-column text continuity, that is:
[ Abc .. ] [ mnp .... ]
[ def .... ] [ qrs: ]
[ ghi ... ] <equation>
[ jkl .... ] [ Tuv ... ]
doing Insert Mathematics->equation insert a single column equation, and even if i do on it Format -> Number of Columns -> 2, i cannot continue inserting text in the previous two-column format (ie: i must create a new two-column format)
doing Insert Mathematics->equations seems to do what i want. (yay!) hmm, there is another way to do this?
After that, having selected the equation, i want it to be numbered, so i do: Mathematics->Number equation but curiously, the number seems to be already (2) even for the first equation!, where do i fix the equation numbering?
