This problem has been fixed in our CVS distribution.
The CVS access is new and read-only for everybody
but me (for the moment). Here are the details:

----------------------------------------------------------------
Parameters :

host = cvs.texmacs.org
repository = /texmacs
cvsweb = http://www.texmacs.org/cgi-bin/cvsweb.cgi/
Examples:

1) In clear text access (not recommanded except for anonymous) :
CVSROOT=:pserver:address@hidden:/texmacs

2) In crypted access (recommanded !)
Using cvs with SSL.
The recommanded method is to use ccvssh :
http://ccvssh.sourceforge.net/

CVSROOT=:ext:address@hidden:/texmacs
CVS_RSH=ccvssh

With the_username :
vdhoeven ==> full read/write access
anonymous ==> read-only access
