When I try to spell a document I get an error "no dictionary for english".
with all the other documents it works...
By the way it is the same document in  which I cannot insert the images 
because it produces a "file not found" error....

The language selected is  british
I have the british and the american dictionary ibritish and iamerican 
installed for ispell indeed if I run ispell from the command line on a 
tex exported version of the document it does work...
any idea on how to correct this beahvior?
I work with Debian unstable and texmacs 1.0.2
