This is indeed a FAQ entry, which occurs every then and a while. It seems that
some files are converted from UNIX to DOS format during the installation
process
(or maybe they get corrupted for some other reason) when installing in
a certain way. Prof. Fateman told me that after reinstalling the problem
magically disappeared for him. Since I cannot reproduce the problem,
I don't know what to say more.
