First of all: many thanks for this package.
I just tried to install it on a fresh computer with Windows
following your guidelines. After a lot of work, I got things
working, but the explanations are certainly not sufficient for
a novice user. Here is what I did:
1) Run setup.exe from the Cygwin site.
2) Select all default settings for every question.
This installed only the Linux core for me.
3) Run setup.exe again.
4) Add your site and select it to install from there.
5) Select the TeXmacs package and install.
At this point, I do have TeXmacs, but none of
the dependencies were installed.
6) Rerun setup.exe and ... manually select all dependencies
using the information from texmacs.org. Install all this.
After some experimenting, this did the trick...
I think that it would be good to write a very detailed webpage
about how to proceed which makes it nearly impossible to do
something wrong (like selecting DOS format instead of Unix format ?).
I will be glad to put such a page on the texmacs.org website so that
there will be more people who will try.
Unfortunately, I have very little time right now to do some more
detailed testing and solve some of the bugs which have been
mentioned on this and the developers mailing list. But I intend
to look at this more closely later on.
In any case, many thanks again for this valuable contribution,
Joris
