My apologies: I looked at the tex file but did not try to latex it...
When doing so, the final 'e' reappears... So problem is solved. Just a
comment on your mail below: I don't see 'Bonne Soir?e !!!' but Bonne
Soiré !!!' but this is probably a different typesetting (could even be
the mail client)
