Dear Norbert,
I near have your configuration (1,6 Ghz instead of 1.8) and can
work nicely on my thesis (It would have needed me thrice the time
if I wrote it in LaTeX! Very big thanks to the developers!).
I may give you two advices to speed up editing:
1) Divide your work in multiple files, one for each chapter.
Then link every one of them in a "master" document. Do
update the master only when you really need, because page
breaking and so on may take a while with a hundred of
pages or more.
2) Always set Document->Page->Type to Papyrus when you work
on single chapters, it really makes a difference.
Should it be the case, I will gladly help you about other
topics, having almost finished a work like yours.
Bye
Riccardo Ferrari
