Hi all,
in my continuing struggle with the creation of a conference poster my
problems
are getting less but some remain...
Im working with A0 paper size (Document->Page->Size->A series->A0). When
setting a shrinking factor bigger than 11, Texmacs crashes saying the
following on the command line:
Fatal error: shrinking factor too large in 'x_display_rep::prepare_color'
Does this mean it doesn't support shrinking factors bigger than 11? This
makes
it very hard working with A0-sized documents...
A second problem is exporting to ps or pdf: Acrobat reader as well as
kghostview always display the exported file as A4, thus showing only a small
section of the document. I haven't tried yet to print it because printing to
A0 is expensive so I didn't want to take the risk... Unfortionately there is
no option for a0 paper in neither of the two programs.
In TeXmacs, there is an option File->Page setup->Paper type which I don't
really understand because I don't see the difference between this option and
that in Document->Page->... (see above). And there is no setting for A0.
Entering "A0" under "Other..." doesn't solve the problem with Acrobat and
Ghostview.
Perhaps it really was a silly idea writing a conference poster with TeXmacs...
Cheers, Benno.
