Something wrong with flows?

Hi,

I am very new to TexMacs and just trying out whether it is usefull for
writing
an extended essay.
I noticed that often it is not possible to insert a floating object because
the whole selection of flows is disabled - including footnotes.
This appears if I try to insert a flow after another, regardless if there is
some text between or not.
