Thanks for the idea, but it is at best a workaround for an emergency. The
main
advantage of TeXmacs for me is, that I'm faster writing formulas in TeXmacs
than doing the same thing by hand (if I want to have the result half-ways
readable) Therefore I got used to do all my analytic calculations directly in
TeXmacs.
Anyway: this only works since I have all kinds of keybinding hard-wired into
my brain - and you have no idea how often you actually use the Alt-key until
you try to work around it...
