as explained in Andrey's tutorial, so as to automatically create
matching closing "brackets" for big operators.
Unfortunately that didn't solve the problem :-(
Note that, as explained in the tutorial, you have to input the integral sign via the keyboard shortcut, not via the toolbar (in the latter case, the closing "bracket" is not automatically added). You can always check if it is present using Document -> View -> Edit source. If it is not there, add it (in the proper place) by \big tab . enter
