You can use the middle mouse button as temporal solution.

Don't give way to despair!
Pasting from (to) emacs(gtk2)  works in both direction. 
Coping from ( not to) the native kde application such as kate or kmail also 
work perfect. Coping from lyx-qt also works for me. 
I'm using mouse and kde3.4.1 desktop manager.
