Hi Søren,

There come my answer to your questions:

Søren Højsgaard escribió:
Just starting using TeXmacs on Windows. Mainly want it for computer algebra
for the moment. A few questions:
- Say I start writing some text. Then I start a mathsession with Axiom and do something. Then I want to leave hta mathsession and return to, say, writing some more text. I can't figure out how to "leave" the mathsession.
You need to move outside the math session. Some times is difficult to make it with arrows of movement in the keyboard, so you can just make click with your mouse pointer outside the math session, for example, in the place you want to start to write.
- Can I combine latex-math with "wysiwyg"-math? I.e. can I write $\int f(x)dx$ and then have that converted (on the fly) to something that looks nice? I have a Danish computer, and I am trying to locate the "^" sign.
Yep, but being inside a math environment. If you press the key combination [Alt] + [$] (brackets are just to indicate that they are individual keyboard signs, you don't have to type them) you will be inside a a math environment and here you can make [\] +[f] + [r] + [a] + [c] to write "\frac" and then press enter. You will have then a fraction. Same applies for other shortcuts inside the environment. You will find more information in the User Manual.

[...]
Can anyone help on these (presumably trivial) questions? Thanks in advance
Søren Højsgaard

Hope that helps. When the TeXmacs wiki will be ready we can post that questions, so they help everyone.

Cheers,

Offray
