It's easy to remove the page numbers. I don't think that there is a way to 
remove them only when you export the document to pdf.

To remove the page numbers:

1. Go to the beginning of the document
2. Isert -> Page numbering -> Page number text
3. Press Enter

What would you insert into this 'Page number text' macro to change the page number to roman (i,ii,iii,iv)?
