I'm new to texmacs, and I have a linux (FC6) machine and a Vista machine and I can't get Texmacs to work on either. The linux machine fails on load with "cannot handle file 'libc.so.6' with TLS data" and I can find no solution.

But, I'd rather get it working on my main machine, which is Vista. I downloaded the package and ran the starttexmacs.bat. There is an error in it I think; the bash binary is not in /usr/bin/bash but rather in /bin/bash. Either way, bash fails to load. When I invoke bash manually then try to start texmacs, it fails with:

What do I need to change to get it to work? I tried:
TEXMACS_PATH=/usr/local/share/TeXmacs
export TEXMACS_PATH

but no dice, same error.
