Thanks for your response raju.
The version of TeXmacs i use is 1.0.6, and my OS i Ubuntu 6.06 LTS - the
Dapper Drake.
I have reproduced the case in the attached files. master.tm is the
master file, and 1.tm is included in the master file.
The problem seems to come from the table of contents. If i remove the
labels - automatically generated - in the table of contents i get nice
references. Somehow TeXmacs get confused by the same labels being at two
different places and when the section to the reference to is forward in
the document.
So, for you out there with the same problem, a work around is to remove
the labels inside the table of contents, and DON'T update it afterward.
