Inserted postscript

I have a document where I inserted .PS images. I cannot
export the images to .PDF, nor to Postscript. Does
somebody know why ?

I know that a similar problem exists when the
images are .GIF or .JPG, because TeXmacs is
using external UNIX image converters. But why
would it be necessary for Postscript ?
