i am sorry, i can't help you but : could you tell how you got this nice grey background in few cells in the table of fig. 1, and what editor did you use to draw this very nice graph ?

Hi,

This problem appear now and then and I have no idea when it will
appear. The page break algorithm seems to be inclined to glue a large
figure and the text around it together, leaving large portion of the
first page blank. Any ideas? I have attached the sample source file
and PDF result.
