Hi,

I also had this problem of starting an unwanted print of the document 
due to accidentally hitting <F4>.  My workaround, (in KDE), is to open a 
Konsole window, do su, <password>, lpc disable all, exit.  Then nothing 
can print.  Then when I want to print something, I do the same, but with 
lpc enable all.
