Since I'm Italian.. I've set
LANG=it_IT@euro
LC_ALL=it_IT@euro
This is why, as far as I can understant, TeXmacs (1.0.6.12) starts
with italian menus.
However, I prefer english menus. So I've set Edit -> Preferences ->
Language -> English.
As I do so, a file preferences.scm is created in ~/.TeXmacs/system and
it contains:
(("language" "english"))
Well.
But after a few runs that file vanishes (!) and TeXmacs starts with
italian menus...
Am I missing anything?
Thanks
Sergio
