Thank you Joris for the answer.
I think Alt+a does the trick. But i don't find it easy to use in simple
math mode.
I type $ Alt+a {my upper limit} Alt+b {my lower limit} \sum ...$ but i
miss the place where i have to write my limits, then i need to be
precise when hitting backspace.
I found an alternative : $ \sum {then select the sum symbol with the
cursor, and only then} Alt+a {then select again the sum symbol} Alt+b$.
If you don't do that, students think they can write sums or integrals
the way they want (note that they could, but i don't want them to).
For the group, i don't unerstand what M+r does ?
And yes i read the documentation for S+F5 L I ...
