Hi Loic,

If I copy and paste your code into Texmacs I get the same result with Texmacs 1.0.6 on Ubuntu 8.04. However, with Texmacs 1.0.7 on Debian 4.0 I get better results as shown in the attached "screenshot_1.png". See below for the document source.

At first I thought the difference was due to the different versions of Texmacs but, just to be sure, I installed Texmacs 1.0.7 on Ubuntu (see my next e-mail to this list). Unfortunately, the problem remains, as shown in "screenshot_2.png". I don't know the reason, but it does seem to work better in Debian 4.0.

If you want to try Debian 4.0 without changing your operating system, you can download the Texmacs Virtual Appliance from texmacsva.sourceforge.net. This has Texmacs 1.0.7 with Maxima, Octave, R, GNUplot, Latex and other software. See my earlier e-mail to this list (2009-01-20). Also, in my earlier e-mail I forgot to say that all of the passwords are set to blueplanet.

Hope this helps,

Paul.

Here is the source tree of my document shown in the attached "screenshot_1.png":

Hi,

I observe a strange behaviour with subtables :

I create a simple table with 3 columns and 2 rows. I make 3 subtables on second row :

*************
<TeXmacs|1.0.6.14>

<style|generic>

<\body>
  <block*|<tformat|<table|<row|<cell|1>|<cell|2>|<cell|3>>|<row|<cell|<subtable|<tformat|<table|<row|<cell|1-a>|<cell|1-b>>>>>>|<cell|<subtable|<tformat|<table|<row|<cell|2-a>|<cell|2-b>>>>>>|<cell|<subtable|<tformat|<cwith|1|1|1|1|cell-rborder|1pt>|<table|<row|<cell|3-a>|<cell|3-b>>>>>>>>>>
</body>

<\initial>
  <\collection>
    <associate|language|french>
  </collection>
</initial>

***************

Now, i insert a new first column :

**************
<TeXmacs|1.0.6.14>

<style|generic>

<\body>
  <block*|<tformat|<table|<row|<cell|0>|<cell|1>|<cell|2>|<cell|3>>|<row|<cell|>|<cell|<subtable|<tformat|<table|<row|<cell|1-a>|<cell|1-b>>>>>>|<cell|<subtable|<tformat|<table|<row|<cell|2-a>|<cell|2-b>>>>>>|<cell|<subtable|<tformat|<cwith|1|1|1|1|cell-rborder|1pt>|<table|<row|<cell|3-a>|<cell|3-b>>>>>>>>>>
</body>

<\initial>
  <\collection>
    <associate|language|french>
  </collection>
</initial>
**************

And, the fourth column now begin at top of page (look at the screenshot joined).

Is it a bug or something wrong on my system ? Can anybody reproduce a similar behaviour ?

I am under Ubuntu 8.10

Loic
