Would be nice, but this is not my priority. It would already be great
if the Scheme interface could be documented better, and made more robust
on some technical points. This is the priority as far as extension languages
are concerned.

No, some technical difficulties remain. It seems to me that the major
remaining problem concerns the menus and to make everything compatible
with TeXmacs' very lazy way of handling menus. I wrote Max an email
with some more detailed thoughts on this last week, but I think that
he has left on hollidays. And so will I, tomorrow ;^)

As soon as the menu problem has been solved, we will proceed with
making up a list of minor remaining problems which should be dealt with
in order to lose no existing functionality. We will then do a lot of
testing with different versions of Qt and different OS'.
After that, things should go fast.
