Does anyone know what the problem could be? What program am I missing?
No idea; I do not experience this problem under Mac OS.
You should track down which exact conversion commands are issued
in order to track down the problem. As a workaround, you can always
manually convert to postscript, or do that under Linux.
With the Qt version, the problem will hopefully disappear.
